Trademark questions: AEB is not federally funded; therefore, the Bayh-Dole Act does not apply. AEBs Act and Order requires that ownership of intellectual propertyinventions, processes, etc.developed as a result of the project will remain with the Board. The Boards desire is for research to be published, so the Board would not take any steps to prevent research being published in credible, peer-reviewed journals.
Indirect Cost Recovery (ICR)
The USDA authorization for ENC research allows for a maximum Indirect Cost Recovery of 10%.
Salary for Principle Investigators (PI) or co-PIs
PI salary may be included up to a maximum of 20% if justified by contribution.
