Directorof Food Safety Programs
TheEgg Nutrition Center (ENC) serves as a health education and research resourcefor the United States shell egg and egg products industry. The Egg NutritionCenter is a joint egg industry project funded by the AmericanEgg Board and administered by the UnitedEgg Producers. The position of Director of Food Safety Programs involvesworking with egg producers and further processors, federal agencies and healthpromotion organizations, consumer groups involved in food safety issues, and themedia. The Director of Food Safety Programs also administers the Food SafetyResearch Grants Program of the American Egg Board.Qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in a food safety related field or a MPHdegree with extensive experience in the area of food safety. The successfulcandidate should be familiar with food safety issues, have strong writing andoral communication skills, ability to develop and produce educational materialson food safety issues, and experience in educational outreach to consumers andhealth professionals.
